Secure Remote Access (VPN)
THINWORX extends the reach of corporate resources while protecting information privacy and securing data against loss or corruption.
Enterprise-level Security
- Centralized application storage combined with role-based user access secures sensitive business information.
- User and group profiles can be configured to provide individualized portals, access to applications and rights and capabilities to use the system (i.e. permission to access modify, delete, or print information.)
- Support for SSL VPNs and two-factor authentication (i.e. through integration with RSA SecurID®) ensures only authorized users gain access to networked resources, without the need for costly changes to security infrastructures or procedures.
- THINWORX provides an exceptional level of security through 128-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption and THINWORX Secure Router.
- Centralized application management protects data against viruses and loss. THINWORX facilitates standardized best practices for patch management, security updates, data backup and privacy protection/ regulatory compliance.
On-demand Remote Connectivity
THINWORX delivers a consistent, office-like user experience with seamless, on-demand remote connectivity to web-enabled and enterprise applications from anywhere, on any device. THINWORX’s intuitive Web interface improves the user experience and boosts workflow and productivity.
THINWORX’s web-based solution publishes centrally installed applications across a network (LAN, WAN, or internet) and delivers them through a standard browser window.
- Web-enabled applications look and feel like locally running applications.
- A transparent user experience requires no change to work processes or special training.
The THINWORX Portal is a web site that provides the main interface for both users and administrators of a THINWORX system. The Portal uses WEB 2.0 technology. As a result, certain functions such as scrolling, screen refreshes and navigation behave in a more interactive manner than a traditional web interface.
Providing Seamless Access
THINWORX’s SessionStride feature delivers continuous access as users move between devices and locations, increasing productivity and allowing for greater work flexibility.
- THINWORX SessionStride enables seamless transitions for users switching from one device to another in the middle of an application session, resuming work where the user left off.
- Dynamic load balancing ensures optimized application performance wherever and whenever the session is resumed.
Preventing Data Loss
THINWORX’s SessionSafe prevents data loss.
- If a client session is disconnected from a THINWORX application server, SessionSafe automatically restores the connection upon login.
- SessionSafe collects and tracks session information from each application server, allowing clients to reconnect securely to the appropriate server/application.
Enhancing Communications Security
THINWORX’s Secure Router delivers enhanced communications security.
- The Secure Router is a soft appliance that delivers the functionality of a firewall, router, and network and port address translators – all in a single application.
- The client component of the Secure Router is a full custom SSL VPN solution that creates a secure tunnel to the Secure Router server through which all Thinworx communications pass.
- THINWORX’s powerful VPN software rivals industry leaders in functionality and guarantees full RFC compliance for the transportation of server-centric computing communications traffic.
